How cute were you as a baby/child? Let's see those baby pics!

Here I is...I was 4 months old:

I took Julian to get some new sneaks for school last night.  I take him to the wall where they have his size, and tell him to pick something. He picks a cute pair of black Nikes. I knew he didn't look very well, so I ask him if that's the only pair he liked.  So he takes his time to look more closely. Keep in mind, I'm not brand-conscious, and I haven't raised Jules that way.  He has no clue what Nikes, Jordans, cheap shoes or expensive shoes are. 

Why does my son see a pair of Jordan's (they were nice, I might add)...decide he wants them...won't settle for any other shoe.....and won't put his sandals back on?  I now see where my life is headed. I'm gonna be living in Foot Locker.  I swear, it's a boy thing. 

As we were leaving the mall, we had a conversation:

Me:  Jules, when did you get so big? Where's my baby?

Jules: I'm right here, Mommy!

Me: No, Jules. You used to be a baby....now you're all big.  You're supposed to stay a baby!

Jules:  Mommy!  Sons GOTTA grow up!!!

I think I laughed and cried a little at the same time. *sigh*

What's one thing that you'd like to get done this weekend? Is there anything holding you back?

Yep. I'd LIKE to get my laundry done. ALL OF IT.  Not just what I NEED right now.

What's holding me back?  The mall, choir rehearsal, getting a mani/pedi, knitting, hanging out with my SO, hanging out with my mom, sleep, pure dayum laziness....uh...ya'll should've asked what is NOT holding me back. The list would have been smaller.

If you could be on any reality TV show, which one would you pick and why?

I would have loved to be on the Real World..back when it was still good.  It just seems like it would be interesting, and fun.  I would have loved to be on when that heffa Tammy was there...cuz we would have come to BLOWS.  Besides, those people seem to keep hanging around MTV, gettin jobs.  LOL!

What's your cell phone's ringtone? What made you pick it?

My main ringtone is a jazzed up version of the Hallelujah chorus from Handel's Messiah. I've just always LOVED that particular version of it...and it surely gets my attention when it rings!

What was the worst advice you ever received? Did you follow it?

When I was in high school, we had a work/study program. You went to a trade school for part of the day, and regular school for the rest.  My idea was to take advantage of this program and become a cosmetologist. My guidance counselor told me that I was "too smart" to go to the trade school, and that I should take the academically advanced classes. So I did.

Well...MY SMARTS ain't making me money......but that cosmetology license sure would have!!  I'm still mad at that!

If you could get someone in your life to start a blog, who would it be and why?

It would have to be my mom.  She has an opinion on everything anyway, and this would give her a hobby and somewhere to just let it all out. Will she ever do it?  Probably not! But she's retiring at the end of the year....so ya never know!

Go to one random page in Explore Audio. What CD do you see that you're most interested in listening to?

I'd have to say Corinne Bailey Rae.  I keep hearing rave reviews about her. I've heard part of one song, and it didn't do much for me...so I'd like to give the album a chance.

I went to the grocery store today just to pick up some milk and juice.  But you know you always come out of there with things you didn't intend to get, right? So I see a sign that says: Pepsi - .79 cents.  I'm a  Pepsi fanatic....and I'm also diabetic. That's not a very good combination. I'd be lost if there wasnt' Diet Pepsi Vanilla, because me and regular Diet Pepsi are NOT friends. That is some nasty stuff.

Anyway, as I get close to the cooler, I realize that this Pepsi bottle is different.  It says Diet Pepsi Jazz. I got excited! There were two flavors there: Black Cherry/French Vanilla, and Strawberries and Cream.  I picked up two Black Cherry's, but only one Strawberries and Cream..I mean...that didn't even sound like it would taste all that great..but I had to try it.

All I know is..the Black Cherry is wonderful. EVEN better than Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry Vanilla!  I know it must be strange for someone to get excited over soda..but being diabetic and trying to find diet sodas that I like isn't the easiest thing. Sometimes it's the small things that get me excited.  LOL! So far, these are the diet sodas I will drink:

• Mountain Dew
• Pepsi Vanilla
• Dr. Pepper Cherry Vanilla

Not such a long list...and I get bored.  Glad I could add one more.  I'll try the Strawberries and cream tomorrow. :)
